This week's comic was penned by Lisa Hanawalt, a Brooklyn-based illustrator whose work has been featured in The Hairpin, The New York Times, McSweeneys and New York Magazine. She shares with us her recipe for a hearty sausage and sweet potato soup, which is so versatile it can make use of everything from kale to parmesan rinds to (if you have the technology) tiny clones.
