Rosemary Butter
 
MAKES ½ CUP

This recipe is adapted from Deborah Madison's The Savory Way (Bantam Books,1990).  It's a delicious on hot boiled potatoes.

½ cup softened butter
1 tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary leaves
2 tsp. minced fresh sage leaves
12 crushed juniper berries
freshly ground black pepper

Combine 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary leaves, 2 tsp. minced fresh sage leaves, 12 crushed juniper berries, and freshly ground black pepper to taste in a small bowl.
