I get quite a number of e-mails from people asking me how to cook for mixed groups of friends—vegetarian, non-vegetarian, vegan, friends with allergies, and the like. If you are having a casual get-together, try setting out a special taco spread. It's an easy and lighthearted way to satiate the diverse diets of your friends, and you can put out a range of fillings and toppings. Fillings like the ones used in these achiote-rubbed butternut squash tacos, these simple soft black bean tacos, or in this curried tempeh taco salad all look great. Chances are that everyone will find something they're excited about.
