Imagine perfect waffles for breakfast, dripping with butter and drenched in syrup; or for a late-night supper, piled high with creamed chicken, dotted with tiny green peas and little pearl onions; or for dessert, with hot fudge and vanilla ice cream on top. But too often these visions are ruined by waffles that stick to the waffle iron, top and bottom. To make waffles crisp and intact, we found that using a non-stick, stove-top version will do the trick.
