More About This Menu

  1. Making gravlax isn't hard—we've got a step-by-step photo gallery if you want some additional tips. If time is an issue (it needs to cure for 3–4 days), you can substitute store-bought gravlax or smoked salmon.

  2. The cheesecakes, tarts, and cookies also have components that need to be made ahead and allowed to rest in the refrigerator. Make and bake them the day before to save time the day of the party.

  3. Having trouble choosing a tea to serve? We've got a primer on the four basic kinds of tea as well as a profile on The Many Flavors of Darjeeling.

  4. Our staff loves a good cuppa and has all sorts of preferred ways to make and serve tea, like this teapot by Guy Degrenne, this OXO kettle, or a beautiful tea stick infuser.
