More About This Menu

  1. To ensure that the stove doesn't need to be turned on even once, be sure to buy pre-cooked shrimp for the lotus salad.

  2. For more hot weather cooking inspiration, see our gallery of 20 no-cook salad recipes. and our gallery of10 summery no-cook dessert recipes.

  3. All around the world, people preserve the season's bounty (without cooking!) by turning market produce into pickles that can be enjoyed year-round. See A World of Pickles.

  4. A splash of sweet lemongrass syrup makes a glass of cold seltzer, iced tea, or your gin and tonic extra refreshing when it's too hot to cook. Prepare a large batch in advance and keep it in the fridge.

Absolutely the WORST menu I've ever seen in my life!! Raw lobster???
"Smashed cucumbers"????? C'mon, my kids could come up with a far better and more original menu than that!!

I don't care for the menu much either, but the lobster is boiled. Even if it wasn't, the lemon juice would cook it.
