Insulated Ice Cream Tub

If you're in the habit of making ice cream at home, you've run into the storage problem: once it's done with its churn time in the machine, where should your ice cream actually go? I've generally gone with reusable plastic or glass storage containers (also the ice cream vessel of choice here in the SAVEUR Test Kitchen), but for bringing a pint to a dinner party or on a picnic, it's nice to have a more streamlined container — not to mention one that helps keep a frozen treat frozen. This smooth, sleek little pint container from Zak! is just right: it's compact in size, insulated for both even freezing and slow thawing, and lovely to look at. Since most ice cream recipes make enough to fill a quart, it makes sense to get two.
