quite a yummy use of corn. i found the basil infusion to be more about how it looks rather than taste. the basil taste is there, but it would still taste good without it. but i do like the way the green basil oil adds some refinement to this soup. if you have time, then do it, but don't let it stop you from making it if you want to skip the basil.

FROM THE
RECIPE:
The soup has a beautiful, smooth and velvety texture that becomes apparent the second you dip your spoon into the bowl. It's luscious and creamy. And then there's the flavor. While the corn's sweetness is definitely there, it's not overpowering. It fills your mouth with this beautiful balance corn and cream.
