Green Goddess Dressing

MAKES 2 CUPS

According to food authority Marion Cunningham, this dressing was created circa 1925 at San Francisco's Palace Hotel.

1  2-oz. can anchovies
3 tbsp. chopped fresh chives
3 tbsp. tarragon vinegar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1⁄2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1⁄2 tsp. salt
Black pepper to taste

1. Put anchovies, chives, vinegar, lemon juice, sour cream, mayonnaise, parsley, salt, and pepper in a blender and blend until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until needed. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
