Most folks outside of Pennsylvania don't realize that an authentic sandwich doesn't have bell peppers on it. That's a dead giveaway that the purveyor doesn't know what he is doing. Kind of like putting Ketchup on a Chicago Hot Dog. The somewhat nondescript cheese sauce is also as I remember it. Sure you can change the original, but to what purpose?
