I just made these waffles for my teenage sons. The flavor was great, but the texture wasn't as crispy as I would have liked on the outside. I'm thinking perhaps more butter next time? We didn't have the cranberry, which I'm sure would have been delicious. I'm going to try these again with the whole family for Thanksgiving.
Pumpkin Waffles with Cranberry Cream Sauce
This recipe uses pumpkin puree, but pumpkin pie could easily be substituted for a perfect breakfast treat on the long holiday weekend following the big day.

So these babies were born! The cranberry sauce was a great add on-- we have so, so much left over from Thanksgiving I needed to use it for something. I'm thinking of some other ideas for it, but this sauce would be great on any breakfast item. Or if you mix it into butter-- but that's not the point. It was sweet and tangy, and amped up the butteriness of the waffles by like... a thousand, maybe.
