best of web seal Shredded Pork Shoulder

The Kitchn's straightforward approach to cooking a pork shoulder includes a spice rub and a good sear before braising in the oven with beer, carrots, onions, and tomatoes. For those who haven't handled a pork shoulder before, the step-by-step photography is especially helpful.

FROM THE RECIPE:

This recipe is meant to be a guide. You can add different vegetables and liquids or season your pork more simply. But we promise that it is hard to fail. And you'll see we're cooking ours in a Le Creuset dutch oven. If you want to do it in a slow cooker, by all means go for it (we'd cut down on the liquid so that it doesn't boil over).

Simply delicious. Do cook it in a dutch oven. The carmelized carrots are out of this world. Yes, delicious with polenta made with butter and parmesan
