I had this in Sicily just recently with Sardines instead of anchovies and the amount of breadcrumbs used was equal to 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs per serving! So filling I ate very little the next day. I must try this lighter looking version. Perfect with an ETNA white!

Chilies add spark to this sauce, with toasted bread crumbs sprinkled in for pleasing crunch. Note: Italian grocers and specialty stores carry whole salt-packed anchovies, typically sold by the piece, which are meatier and more flavorful than oil-packed.
