best of web seal Sweet Potato Fries with Curried Yogurt Sauce

Summertime seems to be burger-time, especially around here. These earthy, oven-baked sweet potato fries with cool curry yogurt sauce would make a perfect pairing for a lamb burger.

FROM THE RECIPE:

I love this recipe ... and consider it one of my best triumphs. It's simple to do, the presentation is wonderfully rustic and appetizing, and the flavors are complex and delicious.  The curry flavor is perfect against the light sweetness of the sweet potatoes, and because the dipping sauce is mostly yogurt with just a bit of mayonnaise, it doesn't feel heavy at all.  And the sprinkling of fleur del sel and chopped cilantro at the end completely makes it.

I serve sweet potato fries in my restaurant with a seasonal ketchup. Spring/Summer we make rhubarb ketchup. Fall/Winter we make cranberry ketchup, but the curried mayo spice works perfectly with the rich sweetness. Great idea.
