A Chinese New Year Dumpling Party
The Chinese Lunar New Year begins on Monday January 23rd, with festivities that run through February 6th. To celebrate, gather friends in your kitchen and teach them how to wrap dumplings: sip on green-tea infused champagne punch while you press, fold, and steam three different varieties of dim sum together. Start the meal with traditional tea-stained eggs, which represent new beginnings in Chinese culture, and end the night with a bowl of tangerines, whose resemblance to gold coins is said to attract wealth in the new year.
