Mexico City: Condesa DF

Mexico City is in a constant encounter between past and future, and as I walked inside Condesa df for the first time I immediately felt this charming contradiction. For the Condesa df, a member of Design Hotels, Mexican architect Javier Sánchez expertly restored a circa 1928 building. The result is a wonderfully balanced combination of classical and modern design that fits in seamlessly on its quiet, tree-lined street. Past the small and relaxed front desk and you walk in a modern interior splashed with contemporary furniture (designed by India Mahdavi) and artwork by local artist Betsabeé Romero.
