I Love My Kitchen Because: Joyce Maynard

Writer Joyce Maynard, author of fourteen books and countless articles, has lived in her home in Marin County, California, for 16 years now. She teaches writing workshops there (as well as at her second home on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala), and her upcoming, not-yet-named novel is set in a similar Northern California landscape, albeit in the late seventies. An avid cook and a natural morning person, she loves waking up early each day and grinding good Guatemalan coffee in her sunny open kitchen, whose big windows look out onto Mount Tamalpais.
