Moka Joe Coffe is a small batch, wholesale micro-roaster of specialty gourmet coffees.
COMPANY
Moka Joe is the “Indiana Jones” of the coffee world! In our imaginations he is an intrepid explorer on the hunt for the best coffee beans to be found. He travels the equatorial band of the globe and brings back to us the cream of the bean crop, sometimes at his own peril.
Then he roams the capitals of Europe, tasting, chatting, learning the refinements of the best roasts and blends, and brings back his favorites to customize them for our clientele. Our label copy reflects his sense of humor and his love of the finer sensibilities of life. After all, when you are in the jungles of Sumatra, or the highlands of Peru, or the Ethiopian rainforests, one would think a grand cup of coffee could make all the difference in your life.
We think it makes a great difference in our lives here, tame though they might be in comparison. With all the care that we put into choosing our beans, and all the hand work that goes into the planting, weeding, thinning, harvesting, washing, drying, bagging, shipping and roasting… we want every cup to be savored and celebrated.

We love the business of roasting coffee beans and sharing the taste, aroma and ritual of drinking superb coffee with our discriminating customers.
At Moka Joe, guided by our passion and the palates and enthusiasm of our customers, we have grown our company and developed our own valued coffee blends and roasts. These are the hallmarks of our careful efforts in putting together beans from different coffee growing communities around the world and coming up with unique flavors with extraordinary aromas.
Or we may take one variety of bean from one location (called a Single Origin Coffee), and roast it in a specific way for a particular kind of coffee experience. It is a good feeling to be able to identify where your coffee came from and know how it was roasted. It is especially good when the flavor and aroma are always the same — roast after roast. This is the job that keeps our roastmaster on his toes!
