Cointreau Tasting Room & Bar Star Mix-Off

In the months leading up to Tales of the Cocktail, Cointreau & SAVEUR magazine will comb the US in the search for the world's next "Bar Star." Four lucky finalists will compete in a mix-off showdown that will put them in a shake-to-stir battle.

The Cointreau Tasting room will be transformed into a vast array of fresh fruits, vegetables, spices and more, and will culminate with one winning original cocktail chosen by a judging panel of the industry elite.

In addition to an all-star judging panel and a stockpile of ingredients to work with, each finalist will be paired with one cocktail luminary from Cointreau's "Advisory Board" to help guide them through creating a balanced and unique flavor profile. One lucky contender will be chosen as #1 and will earn themselves and their advisor a trip to France along with a coveted spot as a 2011 Cocktail Apprentice!
