Bourbon, a favorite spirit during World War I, is the star in this dark and piquant cocktail inspired by War Horse. This recipe was developed by Nitehawk Cinema‘s Beverage Director Jen Marshall.
- 2 oz. bourbon
- 3⁄4 oz. grenadine
- 1⁄2 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 3 dashes orange bitters
- Combine all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon twist.
