Ground ginger adds zing to breakfast, lunch, and cocktail hour

If I had to choose a favorite flavor, it would be ginger (or maybe bourbon). Sadly, toting around the bulbous root and grating it into my meal or beverage is not exactly practical, and the ground varieties never come close to the real deal. But one day, the clouds parted, the sky opened up, and I found Wakaya Perfection Organic Ginger Powder. This potent product is made from the ginger root grown on Wakaya, a tiny island in Fiji, with nutrient-rich volcanic soil. I use it so often that the pretty packaging has found a home on my table, alongside the S&P: It’s a kicky addition to a weekend smoothie, packs a serious punch when swirled with boiling water for an afternoon tea, it’s downright fragrant when sprinkled on seafood. I've even found a way to work it into cocktail hour, shaking this zingy ginger powder with bourbon, honey, lemon juice, and fresh thyme for the perfect marriage of my two favorite flavors.
