The Red Carpet

This elegant drink, served at New York restaurant Daniel to celebrate the Academy Awards, is made even more luxurious with a dusting of gold leaf.Helen Rosner

This jammy, spicy, pleasingly tart cocktail is served at New York restaurant Daniel to celebrate the Academy Awards. There, the bartenders spritz bitters over the foamy top in the shape of an Oscar statuette, and deliver a gold-dipped red carpet tuile on the side. For those without a bitters stencil on hand, we find a dusting of edible gold glitter conveys a sufficient amount of glitz.
