Jeffrey Morgenthaler of Portland's Clyde Common adds a tropical spin to a classic brandy sour cocktail with Jamaican rum and fresh citrus.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. cognac
  • 1 oz. Jamaican rum
  • 12 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 12 oz. orgeat
  • Lemon twist, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1

Combine cognac, rum, lemon juice, and orgeat in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake vigorously, then strain into a Nick-and-Nora glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
