The Scottish Dream
Black mission fig bitters from Brooklyn Hemispherical Bittersand a cinnamon simple syrup are at once spicy, smoky, and sweet when mixed with grapefruit juice and blended Scotch whiskey, conjuring a sense of a long winter coming to an end, with a hint of spring in sight. This cocktail was inspired by a similar drink created by mixologist Lynnette Marrero.

INGREDIENTS
FOR THE CINNAMON SYRUP:1 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1½ oz. blended whiskey
1 oz. grapefruit juice
½ oz. cinnamon syrup
½ oz. lemon juice
2 dashes of Black Mission Fig bitters
2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake all ingredients. Strain into a tumbler filled with fresh ice and serve.

1. MAKE THE CINNAMON SYRUP: In a saucepan, bring the sugar and cinnamon stick to a boil with one cup of water, remove from heat and let sit until cool.2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake all ingredients. Strain into a tumbler filled with fresh ice and serve.
