Eating in New York: Mexican Cuisine in Sunset Park, Brooklyn

A familiar refrain that New Yorkers hear from expat Californians is that the city doesn't have quality Mexican food. New York can't necessarily compete with the expanse of the fantastic Mexican food that California has, but the city still holds its own. Case in point: the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn is well-known for a good number of joints where I can walk in and order a carne asada taco that packs plenty of flavor, and can stand up to (almost) any Californian counterpart. NYC Food Guy has an in-depth and informative post about many of the places that are worth checking out in the neighborhood. —Jayanthi Daniel, Saveur
