It was one of those quintessential autumn days I dreamt about all summer long, with fall foliage at its peak as I drove through the meandering roads of the Catskills from Brooklyn. At the end of the road was the perfect outdoor backdrop for a dinner gathering with other fresh-air and food lovers celebrating the finest in local cuisine with Bovina's Brushland Eating House, And North, and other local farmers.
