Rosemary Butter

This recipe is adapted from Deborah Madison's The Savory Way (Bantam Books,1990). It's a delicious on hot boiled potatoes.

  • 12 cup softened butter
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary leaves
  • 2 tsp. minced fresh sage leaves
  • 12 crushed juniper berries
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Combine 1⁄2 cup softened butter, 1 tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary leaves, 2 tsp. minced fresh sage leaves, 12 crushed juniper berries, and freshly ground black pepper to taste in a small bowl.
