Cola-like bittersweet, effervescent, and herbal, this cocktail is perfect for a hot summer afternoon. We based our recipe off of a drink developed by Dan Amatuzzi, Eataly's beverage director.
Yield: makes one cocktail
- 1 <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>2</sub> oz. Chinotto
- 1 oz. gin
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- 2 leaves basil, thinly sliced
- Sparkling white wine, such as Asti Spumante
- In a collins glass filled with ice, mix together Chinotto, gin, lime juice, and basil. Top off with sparkling wine.
