Coffee Butter

Add an extra jolt to your morning toast with this caffeinated spread; or, use it to baste all manner of grilled meats—including this Grilled Seafood Tower—to impart a mysterious, delicious essence.


  • 13 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp. ground coffee
  • 16 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
  • 12 tsp. kosher salt


Step 1

Heat heavy cream and coffee in a 2-qt. saucepan over medium-high; cook until warmed through, 3–4 minutes. Strain, discarding solids; cool. Add to food processor with butter and salt; pulse until combined.
