This spicy cheese spread is a meze must-try, according to Kostas Feidantsis and Dimitris Koparanis of Dr. Benefits. Feel free to use more peppers, or spicier peppers, if you prefer.

This spicy cheese spread is a meze must-try, according to Kostas Feidantsis and Dimitris Koparanis of Dr. Benefits. Yield: serves 6-8

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. feta cheese, diced (2 ¾ cups)
  • 4 tbsp. Greek yoghurt
  • 4 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped (1 ½ cup)
  • 1 hot chili pepper, such as banana peppers, (1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, add the cheese, yogurt, olive oil, vinegar, and both peppers. Process until the ingredients are evenly combined, about 30 seconds. Transfer to a bowl and serve with a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
