Tarator Sauce

Not to be confused with tartar sauce, this tahini-based dipping sauce is perfect with steamed artichokes.

Yield: makes ABOUT 1 CUP


  • 4 cloves garlic
  • <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>2</sub> cup tahini
  • <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>2</sub> cup fresh lemon juice
  • <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>4</sub> cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • Kosher salt, to taste


  • In the bowl of a food processor, pulse garlic until finely chopped. Add tahini, lemon juice, parsley, and 3 tbsp. water; pulse to combine. Season with salt.
