Measuring Wine Glass

A splash of wine adds sweetness and depth to virtually any soup, sauce, marinade, or braise, with the added bonus that once you've opened the bottle for the recipe, you can pour a glass for yourself. This genius vessel from Fred saves some of the washing-up by etching useful measuring markers onto an otherwise perfectly elegant long-stemmed wine glass — a sip for me, a splash for the pot, another sip for me. And it's emblazoned with perhaps my favorite of Julia Child's many bons mots: "I enjoy cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
