Spiced rum and fiery ginger beer combine with tart cranberry juice in this flavorful cool-weather cocktail. Be sure to use true cranberry juice — not a cranberry juice cocktail or other blend — otherwise this drink will turn out cloyingly sweet. If you can’t find 100% pure cranberry juice, pomegranate juice is a good substitute.
- 2 oz. 100% cranberry juice
- 2 oz. not-too-sweet spiced rum, like Cruzan 9 Spice
- 3 oz. spicy ginger beer, like Blenheim’s or Reed’s
- In a rocks glass filled with ice, combine cranberry juice and rum. Top with ginger beer.
