Make your own decaf tea using ingredients from your spice rack. We especially like this saffron tea, garnished, as it typically is in India, with almonds.
Yield: serves 2-4

Ingredients

  • ¼ tsp. saffron threads
  • 3 green cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 6 thinly sliced blanced almonds

Instructions

  1. Bring 3 cups water, saffron threads, green cardamom pods, and cinnamon stick to a simmer over medium-high. Cook until color of tea is golden amber, 2–3 minutes. Divide sugar and almonds between glasses; pour tea on top.
