Throughout India, creamy, chilled lassis are the go-to beverage for cooling off during the warmer months. To make them, milk or water-thinned yogurt is blended with ingredients such as ripe mangoes or, as in this recipe, rose water and strawberries. - 2 cups plain, full-fat yogurt
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1⁄2 cup whole milk
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 tsp. rose water
- 10 strawberries, hulled, plus slices for garnish
- Vanilla ice cream or heavy cream, for topping (optional)
