Labneh with Za’tar
Za'tar, a Middle Eastern herb-and-spice mix enhances the flavor of almost anything, especially cheese, salads, chicken, and fish.
Yield: serves 2-4
- 1 cup labneh
- 3-4 tbsp. fruity extra-virgin olive oil
- 1-2 tsp. za'tar
- Toasted pita
- Using the back of a spoon, spread labneh in a circular motion almost to the edge of a plate. Drizzle olive oil in a circle over the labneh, then sprinkle za'tar in the center.
- To serve, tear off pieces of toasted pita and wipe the plate, scooping up labneh, olive oil, and za'tar with each bite.
